It is with profound sorrow that we officially announce the passing of Pastor Ben Achut, beloved Pastor at Local Christian Assembly, devoted husband to Sister Sarah, and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Born in 1959, Pastor Benard Oleke Achut received his summons from our Lord Jesus Christ today February, 26 2026 at 1.00PM local time following an illness of more than two months and consequent complications that resulted in multi-organ failure. He had received acute and critical care for the past month. Throughout his hospitalization, he was surrounded by prayer, faith, and unwavering support from his family, church, and friends alike.
Pastor Ben faithfully served as Pastor at Local Christian Assembly Nairobi/Tororo, dedicating his life to the preaching of the Gospel with conviction, profound humility, and compassion. His ministry was marked by steadfast commitment to Biblical truth, Holy Spirit leadership and Pastoral care, nurturing the spiritual growth of many.
As it is written in 2 Timothy 4:7–8:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.”
We are comforted by the promise of our Lord in John 11:25:
“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
Pastor Ben’s life exemplified the kind of service, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to God, who He loved so much, that made His Father proud of him as a son. He was a spiritual father, mentor, and counselor to many, leaving behind a testimony that is pure and unambiguous.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sister Sarah, son Michael, family members, church leadership, and a congregation deeply grateful for his years of faithful service.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Sister Sarah, the family, and the entire Local Christian Assembly during this time of mourning. We kindly ask the public and the body of Christ to uphold them in prayer, remembering the assurance given in Revelation 14:13:
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
Details regarding memorial services and funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
We respectfully request privacy for the family during this difficult season.
