And the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ that has descended upon the Church, to continue the works of the Lord Jesus, in His going away. It is to give the Gospel Light, in a lesser light, than it was when Christ was here.

Like the moon and the sun. The moon comes up, to give a light in the absence of the sun, until it can rise again, then the moon goes out. And the sun is such a brighter light, that it puts out the moon light. But what is the moon light? It’s a reflection of the sun on the moon. And that is like Christ. When He was here, He was the Light of the world. He went away, and shining back on His Church, to reflect His Light into the world today, for Light to walk in until He returns. And then all-in-all will be given unto Him. And He will set on the throne of King David, and reign forever and forever.

We’re coming face to face with it. Face it now. And we can face the Lutherans and Methodists and Pentecostals, and face… the Pentecostals can face the Methodists. I can face the Pentecostals with it, exactly right. Why is it? We’re walking in the Light as He’s in the Light and we move up the King’s Highway. And farther it comes more grace is given, more power is given, more supernatural is given. Where are we at this morning? Supernatural Elohim. We’re walking up the King’s Highway. Amen.

And there we are. This is the hour to where the Holy Spirit has come down in the form of a Light like it was in the beginning. A Pillar of Fire and has manifested Himself doing the very same things He did when He was here on earth and Jesus said how do you know whether they’re right or not? By their fruits ye shall know them. He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also.

These signs shall follow them that believe. Now, my Pentecostal brother, I’m one of you. I’ve got the Holy Ghost. I have spoke in tongues. But I didn’t get it upon receiving the Holy Ghost. Amen. I got the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. I spoke in tongues, prophesied, had gifts of knowledge, wisdom, interpretation and everything else happening. But I’m subject to any one of those things because now I’m a child of God. The Power, the Fire of God, is in my soul, amen, and burnt, amen, that tongue of Fire that set up on their head and come on the inside burnt the demon out. Amen.

And burn out everything, come on the inside of me and burnt out everything that was contrary to God. And now I’m led by His Spirit. He can say, “Go here.” And I will go. “Go there and speak here and do this and do that.” And that’s the way you’ve got to come then you’ll understand the Word.

…a man’s work declares his character! Christ was God’s work. And Christ declared God’s character; His feeling for the sick, His longing for saving of souls, till even He gave His Own life. God’s work, God’s character, was declared in Christ.

I think love is the greatest force there is in the world. There's nothing more powerful than love. If I had the choice tonight, and was a sinner, and was standing here before God, and He have said, "Now, boy, I'm going to give you all nine spiritual gifts. I'm going to let you prophesy, give you the spirit of prophecy. I'm going to make you a mighty preacher, give you the word of wisdom and understanding. I'm going to give you the gift to speak in tongues and to interpret. I'm going to give you a gift of healing that you'll have great faith for the sick. And I'm going to do all these things for you. I'll give you all that, or I won't let you have any of those things, but let you have real love in your heart."

I'd say, "God give me love." That's right.
"For where there is tongues, they shall cease. Where there's prophecy it will fail. Where there's knowledge, it'll vanish. But where there is love, it will endure forever. That's what drove the heart of God to send Christ to the earth.

Now, in the Scripture once there was a man by the name of Jehoshaphat, a great man, a religious man. And he went over to another king, which was the King of--of Israel. And he, Jehoshaphat being the King of Judah, and he went down to Ahab, the King of Israel, and they got all buckled up together and made an alliance with one another to go fight up at Ramoth-gilead. And they did it without first praying.
Oh, if people could only realize. That's why I come this morning and ask you to remember me as I go overseas. In all things, pray. Someone come the other day and said, "Brother Branham, do you think it's wrong to do a certain thing?"
I said, "What are you questioning about?" See? If there's a question in your mind, leave it alone. Don't do it at all. Just stay with that. When you start to do anything, and if it's a question whether it's right or wrong, stay away from it. Don't go into it at all. Then you know you're right.
Now, all things ought to be considered prayerfully first. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things will be added." I am positive sure this morning if men and women could only get into the position of where their soul, their thinking, their attitudes would be perfect in the sight of God, that would be one of the most powerful churches that ever existed.

And after this morning, the Holy Spirit so beautifully coming down and bathing us in His great beauty, I was just inspired to speak them words and say, that, some glorious day that all of the gifts that’s in the church will just be set aside, on the mantle, as it was. And the Holy Spirit, Himself, will just take the Church in such a control, of Divine love, until the sick will be healed, the blind will see, the lame will walk, without being hands laid on them. It’ll just be one great unity.

Friend, may I say this. What we have seen in the last year or two, in the Kingdom of God, ought to put every born-again Christian into action. But the thing of it is, we don’t—we don’t respect it, to realize that it’s God. We’re—we’re just kind of a little curious. We like to see little things, and give a sensation. We like to feel good. We like to do these things. But when it really comes to really respecting It and believing It with all of our heart, it puts us into action.

Well, when the Angel met Mary that morning on the road to the well, and told her she was “going to have a Baby, knowing no man,” it put her into action. She went quickly, telling everybody that she was “going to have a Baby, knowing no man.” She didn’t care what it meant to what the people said. She had actually met an Angel of God, and it put her into action. She was conscious that the Holy Spirit was upon her, creating in her a Life.

Oh, if we could only realize that, that the Holy Ghost is upon us, creating in us a faith, trying to present Himself in so many different ways and gifts, to create a faith for a rapturing Church. It should put us into action. But wonder if we’re just doing it the way He wanted it to be, with reverence and humility? The Pillar of Fire in this last days ought to put the whole church into action, It being vindicated, signs of His Coming at hand.

But the Church, the Bride, is united by one God, under one Spirit, the Spirit of God, in one holy Union of God, to be one holy Bride to God. That’s right, all together; unity of the Body. The Body waiting as a Bride; as—as It is the Bride, as we call ourselves the Bride. For the uniting time of the Bride, the Church is so coming together. It should create just a love among us, that we could hardly be away from one another. That’s right. When you just, you don’t have to beg people to pray, you don’t have to beg them to worship God, you don’t have to beg them to do what’s right. They’re just so in love with Him, till there’s nothing else.
